Radiology
4th Street Pet Hospitals offers digital radiology (or x-rays) that allow our veterinarians to view inside the body, which includes the bones, heart, lungs, and abdominal organs. Our radiology service is a critical part of our high-quality care and diagnostic testing and is painless, safe, and completely non-invasive. The procedure requires your pet to lay still for short periods of time and images are taken using very low doses of radiation. The dose of radiation is so low that even pregnant females and very young pets can have radiographs taken.
Radiography is extremely helpful to view the size, shape, and position of organs that may be influenced by a certain medical condition, including intestinal blockage or cancer. Tumors, bladder stones, broken bones, chronic arthritis, certain spinal cord injuries, and a variety of other conditions are also viewable by radiography.
Contact the veterinarians and staff at (727) 289-7190 today to discuss if radiographs can be used to help in the diagnosis, treatment, or rehabilitation of your pet.
